At Sessions Hairdressing, we are passionate about sustainability. Not only do we only use ethical products, we recycle 97% of our salon waste. Our team volunteer 100 hours/year to charity and for every client visit we plant a tree. By booking an appointment with us, you’re making a difference too!

A FORCE FOR GOOD

Sustainability deals with the responsibility we owe to ourselves, the people with which we work, our customers, and the world in which we live and operate our hair salon.

We measure our impact across 5 key areas;

Since 2015, Sessions has saved 29 wheelie bins of waste from being dumped into landfill.

Chemicals, metals and plastics have been repurposed and other initiatives include collecting 82kg of hair cuttings to create 69 hair booms which soak up oil spills in our oceans, donating ponytails to make wigs for cancer and alopecia sufferers, and providing 69 meals to those in need via OzHarvest from the proceeds of our efforts.

Since Jan 2020 we have planted 5,167 trees. By choosing Sessions you are a part of the solution.

We are carbon negative!

Sessions have been offsetting well over our 14.56 tonnes of carbon emissions since 2020. We choose to contribute towards reforestation of the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor, a 200km stretch located in the northern wheatbelt in Southwest Australia. The Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor Project is the first premium Gold Standard certified project in Australia. It is certified to remove 1.059M tonnes of CO2-e from the atmosphere over 50 years.
